IYG 2012 - August 13: Blacksmith-Potter-Abbot

Interesting combination of words, isn’t it? Well, the participants of this year’s IYG were using them all day today. Why? August 13 was the “Day of Historical Craftworks”.

In three groups, we could all try out the job of a blacksmith – working with iron is harder than it looks.

We also visited a ceramics workshop, where we could paint mugs, soap holders or bells – we will get those in two days, fired and finished.

We also visited the Nová Říše Monastery, where we were guided by a very friendly abbot.

Every group also got to ride a horse carriage, which provided a nice rest after the exhausting activities.
