IYG 2012 - August 17: Grand Finale

This is the end. August 17 was the final day of this year’s IYG (well, almost, but August 18 was completely filled with departures). In the morning, we visited the Museum of the Police of the Czech Republic with many exhibits dating from the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire up to today.

In the afternoon, we went shopping – and for this reason, we visited the largest shopping center in the Czech Republic.

And in the evening, the organizers arranged a gala evening with music, dancing and refreshments. We had a lot of fun, but at the same time all of us felt a little bit weird because we got so used to seeing each other all the time that the thought of saying goodbye to everyone felt completely wrong.

And here’s what some of the participants had to say about this year’s IYG:

It has been my pleasure meeting you all. Participating in IYG 2012 has been a smashing experience and I will miss you all.
