IYG 2012 - August 6: Now it’s official

The third day of this year´s International Youth Gathering was dedicated to some official business. In the morning, we walked through Pařížská, one of the most expensive streets in the Czech Republic, and then we arrived at the Old Town Hall.

There, we were officially greeted by the mayor of Prague Bohuslav Svoboda, the police president Petr Lessy, the president of the IPA Josef Neruda and the head of the office of education of the City Police of Prague Vladimir Shánělec. After a symbolic drink – a glass of orange juice – we went on a tour of the Old Town Hall, which was built in the 14th century.

Then, we had lunch in a botel – that’s a boat with a hotel inside – which is docked on the Vltava river.

After that, a long journey awaited us – about four hours in the bus. We have moved from Prague to Baldovec, a camp/sports center around 60km north of Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic.

Bring on tomorrow!
